Verizon Field Test Shows Near-Gigabit Internet Transmissions

Verizon's FiOS fiber network has always been impressive and it has always been promising compared to standard coax networks.  The mere thought of having a fiber-optic link direct to your home has been quite appealing to many. But a few months ago, Verizon reportedly decided to pause, or halt altogether, their roll out of more FiOS locales.
